The Exam
INE Security’s eEDA Blue Team certification evaluates the ability to implement and defend a properly secured infrastructure.

The Enterprise Defense Administrator certification covers topics ranging from: basic defensive engineering strategies, proper hardening of network devices and servers, vulnerability management, log gathering and analysis, and much more.

This certification exam is grounded in a hands-on approach, where candidates will be presented with a reproduction of a standard enterprise network and specific tasks to complete. In addition to the multiple-choice questions, the Enterprise Defense Administrator certification tests not only knowledge, but the ability to apply knowledge and skills in a practical lab-based environment.

Exam Objectives
The eEDA evaluates an individual’s skills across various domains and objectives, certifying their mastery and understanding.

Secure Engineering Fundamentals (12%)

  • Recall fundamental defensive security terminology
  • Demonstrate an understanding of long-term strategic planning and configuration of resilient security measures

Governance Risk and Compliance (24%)

  • Understand the principles of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) as it applies to regulations or laws
  • Identify and Quantify levels of risk and impact within an organization’s IT infrastructure
  • Understand and navigate a structured change management process
  • Demonstrate an understanding of industry- standard frameworks by creating acceptable cybersecurity baselines

Identity and Access Management (28%)

  • Understand the various components of Identity and Access Management (IAM) configurations and controls
  • Demonstrate fundamental Identity and Access Management (IAM) configurations and controls

Security Administration (36%)

  • Analyze various IT systems and ensure they are properly secured
  • Design and build a secure IT environment per stated business requirements
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate vulnerabilities within IT systems
  • Understand various logging types, log aggregation methods, and alerts

The eEDA Certification Exam Voucher can only be purchased with an INE Premium Subscription. If you already have a subscription, you can buy your voucher now! We encourage everyone to complete the eEDA Learning Path before attempting the certification exam.

To complete the eEDA Certification, follow these steps:

Purchase an exam voucher to start the certification process. Login to the certification area to manage the exam and any other materials related to the certification process.

Regular vouchers expire after 180 days from purchase. Before the certification voucher expires (180 days from purchase), complete the initial exam attempt and if desired, the complimentary re-take that is provided with the voucher’s purchase. Both attempts must be submitted before the certification voucher expires. The expiration date will always be available in the certification area, and reminder emails are sent to ensure the voucher is taken advantage of.

Follow the certification instructions and complete the exam within the allotted time. If technical issues are encountered at any time during the exam, please email support@ine.com for assistance.

Results are on an auto-graded system. This means results will be delivered within a few hours after completing the exam. The eEDA score report will show performance metrics in each section of the exam, allowing reflection on mastery of each exam objective. All passing score credentials will be valid for three years from the date they were awarded.
